07/13/06:
BASS: Bass have moved deeper,
around the 30ft range. Daytime fishing has slowed some what. The most
action is either early in the am or late in the afternoon. Topwater
action off main bluff points and on secondary points with spooks, sammys,
and the like. The nite-bite has been a more productive than the day
bite. Soft plastics have been the key. Jigs & worms have worked
best. Eakins Jigs & Dragon Jigs in PBJ, Black with Blue Flake, and
matching trailers from Yamamoto, Zoom, Net Biat...FYI - these soft plastics
are also working well in the early am and late afternoon.
Walleye: They are around the 35ft range.
The trollers have been most productive using Hot-n-Tots, Reef Runners
and Rapala Glass Shad Raps. Also, the Walleye have been hitting Night
Crawlers on Crawler Harnesses fairly well too! There has been some nice
spoon action on the walleyes around 7am to 11 am using Binks Spoons.
Limits of 3 to 4 pounders have
been caught and one 9 pounder!

to pick up recently! Early am and Late pm on top waters. During the
day the trollers have had nice numbers of 5 to 15 pounders being caught

the bite to pick up drastically! So make your plans now to come to Norfork!
