Norfork Lake Arkansas Fishing Reports

BASS: Picking up a little with early am and late pm doing the best on topwater action. Look for main bluff walls, points, mouths to coves and use a Spook, Sammy, Pop-r, Spittin' Immage... During the day move to your jig or worm. Use a 1/2 to 3/4 ounce jig with a matching trailer. On worms, use a 8" Larew hook tail, red with gold or silver flake work well...

Striper: THE STRIPER BITE HAS BEEN GOOD! Some nice sized stripers have been reported lately. Red with Red's guide service produced some heavy stringers this past week. He limited out several times and had some doubles on every day!! Bigest striper being a 25lber caught on a Poggy. Our nest best Striper report came from Binks guide service with a 40lber!! Bink got this striper on one of his 1 oz spoons.

THE STRIPERS HAVE TOURNED ON AND IT IS TIME TO CATCH THEM! Either trolling or spooning!

Walleye: Walleye's have been doing well too recently...the Trollers have been doing well around 35' on Reef Runners, Hot-n-Tots, Walleye Divers, Tail Dancers and Crawler Harnesses. The spooners have also done well. Using Binks Spoons, CC Spoons, Burrhead Spoons, Flee Flys...

Crappie: Deep in the brush piles. 25 to 30 ft. Best bait has been crappie minnows and Binks crappie spoons.

Bream: Still catching good sized limits of bream here on Norfork. Crickets and worms have been the ticket. about 18 to 25 foot is where they are.

TROUT: Trout fishing has been good recently. On low water conditions the fly fishermen has been using nymphs, bead head caddis, sow bug, scuds, san juan worms, egg patterns...Some top water action with Adams, Midges has also been working well in late afternoon.

With water generation, the spin fishermen have done well. Using Rapala's X-Raps, Lucky Craft Pointers, Smithwick Rogues, Colorado Spoons, Blue Fox Spinners, and Berkley power
