Norfork Lake Arkansas Fishing Reports

10/03/06:

The water temp dropped into the mid 70's this week with the cool nights but will likely rise alittle this week. We are expecting temps in the upper 80's in the day and the 60's at night. The lake level is at 545.1.

The topwater bite was on and off this week. When you would see some come up you had to get to them real quick, they wouldn't stay up very long. They would do it at anytime. So always keep a topwater rod on the deck.

The stripers, hybrids and whites are still 40-50ft. deep. Look for the baitfish and the will be close by.Try fishing windblown chunk rock banks with a spinnerbait.as for the walleye the have moved a little shallower this week in the 25-35ft.depth. The silver or white jigging spoons are still working.

Till next week Good Fishing!!!!!!!!! 10-1-06
