WHITE RIVER fishing report (Cotter Arkansas) reported by James Crownover,owner-operator
of HURST FISHING SERVICE 1 870 435 6414. Submitted as a community service by
Spring Creek Enterprises.
There has been no generation on the river. Maybe a little once a week for just
a few hours. Brown trout have been doing very good on minnows and sculpins. Rainbows
have done good on power bait, the best colors latley have been yellow and orange.
We also had plenty of fish on shrimp and roe.
Lures have been harder to fish
in the low water. If you use Rapalas use a floater. I like the bigger size "bigger
fish" but you can still catch fish on the smaller ones. Rooster tails white
and yellow. Flies- Stripping woolies, prince nymph, you'll catch fish till the
wings break off. Egg patterns have done the best and it will shift to a smaller
egg pattern when the suckers spawn.
