North Fork And White Rivers in Arkansas fishing reports

Blue Ribbon Section:

The B.R. section of the North Fork is fishing really well all things considered.

The fish are holding deep in good riffles.

Black and Golden stones are still the #1 fly of choice with a couple of "different" droppers than usual.

A certain Pheasant Tail (with a little extra flash as a shuck) is tearing them up right now, Black Copper Johns, and even soft hackles dropped off of the stone are doing well.

Fish early and late in the evening to avoid the crowds.

Fall will be here before you know it!

The Red Ribbon section of the North Fork is fishing well. Several stocker sized browns are at the islands above Patrick bridge and they are fairly eager to jump on a Stonefly. These fish are also rising to Stimulators and other bigger dry flies in the mornings. Wet flies are still picking up fish (mostly 'bows) in the tailouts of big riffles and all through smaller riffles, a traditional swing is all it takes to fish these flies....right now.

# 14 Beadhead Crackleback
Several traditional wet flies
#12 Stimulator
