North Fork And White Rivers in Arkansas fishing reports

If you are fishing the White River for Trout, remember that the area in front of the State Park is now Seasonal Catch and Release, all brown trout must be released immediately and all catch and release rules apply and that includes no Power Bait or live bait and you must use barbless hooks.

The regular Catch and Release area is now closed. Further down the river Berkley Power Eggs in yellow, Sunrise , and pink or Chartreuse or Rainbow nuggets have worked well. With generation the Buoyant Spoons, Blue Fox and Little Cleos. are the baits of choice.

The fly fishermen have done well with little generation on Olive Woolly Buggers, Zebra midges, scuds or sow bugs The Brown trout further down river outside of the catch and release areas are being caught on Flat Fish, jointed Rapalas and nightcrawlers.
