Missouri Lakes Fishing Report
Lake - Pomme De Terre 01/02/06:
Hit or miss best describes Pomme right now. The best bite has been on the main lake on points with brush piles or main lake channel swing banks with wood cover. Fish slow and deliberate to be effective, keeping your bait in the brush as long as possible. An Eakins’ jig in brown or Missouri Craw with a green pumpkin jig trailer has been the most effective bait. There are a few fish being caught on jerk baits as well, windy points and bluff ends have been the most effective areas.
Most of the crappie are still being caught over brush; live minnows have been the best bait.
