Missouri Lakes Fishing Report
Lake - Pomme De Terre 03/04/06:
The dam area is still the strongest
area of the lake right now, rogues and pointers in chrome / black, American shad, clown and chartreuse
shad area all producing fish on flat mixed rock banks with brush or other
wood cover. In some of the creek arms shad have started to move toward the
back of the creek in search of zooplankton, look for secondary points and
flats toward the backs of creeks to get really good toward the end of the
week if we get a little rain. Wiggle warts, deep little “n’ and
possibly spinnerbaits will be key if the water temp comes up with the rain.
Surprisingly the crappie fishing has been tough; most of the fish are being
caught on live bait with a float over marked brush piles.
