Missouri Lakes Fishing Report

Lake - Pomme De Terre 04/04/06:

Pomme is still down over a ft. Fished a musky tournament this weekend withonly one being caught a 39 incher caught by Jon Kirby. I had severak chances but the fish just wouldn't cooperate.

Several bass were caught on jerkbaits and rattletraps by contestants. Bass fishing has slowed down a little . Water is starting to warm up a little. Jigs seem to be the best bait day in and day out. Some fish were caught this week on crankbaits. Wiggle warts and wee r"s ..

Crappie are still not very close to the bank. Watched a man during the tourney fishing a deep brush pile and caut several nice crappie in about 14 to 18 fishing a jig over the top of the brush. Need some warm nights to put the bass and crappie up ready to spawn.
