Missouri Lakes Fishing Report

Lake - Pomme De Terre 04/30/06:

Pomme is really hot right now, you can catch fish just about anyway you want to. There are still several fish on beds and a white tube will catch them if they are locked on or a floating worm if they are cruising. On windy days take your choice of spinnerbait or crankbait and fish wind blown mixed rock flats and points, on calm days fish both main lake and creek arm ledges with an Eakins’ Jig and craw combo or main lake and secondary points with Carolina rigged lizards or Jewel football jigs. During low light hours don’t forget to throw your favorite top water bait on these same points, flats and ledges.

Crappie seem to be spawning as well, look for them to be in less than 15’ of water and fish just about any color of 1/8 oz. jig you like.
