Missouri Lakes Fishing Report

Lake - Pomme De Terre 10/18/06:

Brush piles continue to hold the bigger fish and a Jewel ½ oz. Heavy Cover Finesse Football jig in brown / purple flash with a green pumpkin Chomper 5” jig trailer is one of the most effective baits you can throw. Early and late there is a good topwater bite in the lower end of the lake with pop-r’s and spooks being equally effective.

On many of the flat banks throughout the lake you can get into a mixed bag of whites and largemouth on rattle traps small shallow crankbaits, just look for the schools of shad to find the fish. UP the river the buzz bait bite has been very good early and late in the stump fields and channel bend flats.
