Lake Taneycomo

Trout fishing is great on Taneycomo, good place to go if you have younger kids or just want to catch a lot of fish anytime. Fishing from the cooper creek ramp to the Hwy 65 Bridge is awesome, with days of 100 catch and release trout or more on some days. One Rainbow trout was taken last week at Lilleys Landing Dock and was over 11 pounds and taken on power bait.

Start fishing Berkley Power bait in bright yellow or white on line as small as 2 – 4 pound test leader is working for everyone. Above Fall Creek in the trophy zone trout are being taken on small 1/100 ounce jigs in brown and green, with a float cork and a small split shot on the same small test line.
