Missouri Lakes Fishing Report

Lake - Tanneycomo 11/07/06:

Best fly patterns for the week: The fishing has been a little tougher over the past week but still a lot of 20” plus browns being caught everyday. The best colors and patterns have been; olive and grey scuds, olive G-bugs, pink egg patterns, and brown or red San Juan worms. Most of the better fish are coming in the Trophy management area below the dam and it can be pretty tight on the weekends so be prepared to fish like your at a trout park.

Best spinning tackle: On the few days that the Corp of Engineers is running water the bite has been awesome; Rapalas, Pointer 65s and other twitch baits have been really good near any wood cover you find in the deeper pools, Roostertails, Mepps and Super Duper spinners have all been working as well. On days when there is no water running fish a Taneycomo drift rig with either yellow or pink powerbait or live night crawlers.
