Lake - Tanneycomo 11/14/06:

Best fly patterns for the week: Several big browns caught this past weekend; size #14 or #16 scuds, g-bugs and sow bugs have all been very effective patterns in grey, tan, black and olive. Make repeated drifts when you see a big fish it seems that they want it to drift past just right before they will take it. The fishing has been great through out the fly fishing area of the lake so please don’t crowd other anglers.

Best spinning tackle: The Corps of Engineers has been generating each afternoon for an hour or two. When the water is moving the bite is much better so it pays to call and plan accordingly. Rainbows are being taken from Cooper Creek to Rockaway Beach on Berkley Power Eggs and Power Nuggets, try mixing two colors on the hook of your drift rig; yellow and red, pink and white, etc. Browns are being taken around wood cover on live night crawlers and Rapalas.
