Missouri Lakes Fishing Report
Lake - Tanneycomo 12/05/06:
Best fly patterns for the
week: The weather hasn’t hurt the trout fishing;
in fact the cold has chased away most of the crowds. Several big browns
caught as well as a few big rainbows this past week. Scuds, bit scuds,
g-bugs, soft shell scuds and sow bugs in size #16 - #20 are all very
effective offerings, use natural colors; olives, tans and browns are
best. Dress for the weather and you have a chance to catch some true
trophy fish right now.
Best spinning tackle: Drift
rigs are producing numbers through out the day; mixed colors of Berkley
Power Nuggets and Power Eggs, live night crawlers and wax worms have
all been effective baits drifted through the deeper pools. If you are
there when the Corps of Engineers are running water try Rooster Tails,
Mepps Aglia, and Panther Martin spinners, small Rapalas, Little Cleo
and Buoyant Spoons in the pools and around laydowns and wood cover.
