Truman Lake Fishing Reports

Truman Lake: 02/27/06:

Crappie fishing is good.I went Saturday and caught a limit of good quality crappie in one hour. On Sunday me and Bob Davenport went and had 30 good crappie in two hours. All the fish are in 25 foot of water and down 12 to 15ft. All our fish were caught on 1/16 oz jigs and most were caught red/white skirts.

Look for a bluff and start fishing, be sure to have plenty of water. As I was doing this report Marvin Deckard and Brad Coats came in with two good limits. If you are looking for a crappie fishing trip give Marvin a call at 660-477-3226. The crappie fishing is worth the trip down.

Bass fishing is slow but you can catch some fish. The fish are coming off bluff ends on jerk baits fishing slow. The best bite is the damn area.

Catfish and whitebass no report. With this weather the fish will spawn early. We will try to open around the third weekend in march. water color great

Water temp 41 degrees
