Missouri Lakes Fishing Report
Lake - Pomme De Terre 02/27/07:
Conditions on Pomme are tough, most anglers report few
bites a day and even fewer keeper fish. The best bite has been on a
brown or PB&J Eakins’ jig with a green pumpkin Eakins’
craw for a trailer. Ledge banks and bluff ends are accounting for most
of the fish and the key is to fish slowly to be effective, work the
bait down from one ledge to another paying close attention to your line
as the jig falls. A few fish are being caught on jerkbaits on main lake
chunk rock points, American shad and Table Rock shad have been the top
colors. Most of the fish are coming off of isolated trees or brush piles
in 6’- 15’ deep.
