Best fly patterns: The fishing continues to be excellent in the Trophy area, the Corps of Engineers has been running some water everyday and the fish have been feeding well. Small, sizes #18 - #22, scuds, g-bugs, sow bugs and midges have been best in olives, tan, ginger, and purple. Bigger Rainbows are showing up every week and it appears the spawn will not be far away.

Best spinning tackle: Some things never seem to change; when the water is running small spinners like Rooster Tails, Panther Martin and Mepps Aglia are all very productive. When there is no generation switch over to a drift rig and either live night crawlers or wax worms or Berkley Power Nuggets or Gulp Nuggets. Mix and match the colors on the nuggets; yellow / pink, white / chartreuse, etc. to be effective.
