Water Temp: 46-48
Lake Level: 928.00
Just about everyone I have spoken to that fishes the lake all the time are
really struggling to catch fish right now.
Fishing is tough as the lake levels rose 15’ in about 4 days.
Water clarity
in some areas went from 8’ to 8”. The fish don’t know where to go or what
to do, or maybe the fish do and the fishermen don’t!
It should start to pick-up by the end of the week as water levels start to
go down.
The main lake has lots of trash floating be very careful running
the lake.
The water in the backs of the coves is much clearer than the main lake, look for these areas.
Try to fish in the clearer water with a few days in the 60 degree range and sunshine fish should move up into some of the newly flooded trees and bushes. Try Senko’s fished very slow or ¼ - 3/8 brown jigs tipped with twin tailed Chompers.
Fishing in and around the cover also try spinnerbaits in some areas with more stained water. Good Luck!
