New Team Tournament Trail Announced for Ozark Area Lakes

SPRINGFIELD, MO. (January 10, 2007) – Anglers from Missouri, Arkansas and the surrounding areas will soon have the opportunity to experience a new level of competitive team angling. The recently announced Ozark Mountain Team Trail, owned and operated by Don Berry Pro Fishing LLC and developed specifically for Ozark area lakes, offers an all cash payback and a guaranteed $10,000 (based on a 100 boat field) to win.

Each event will be based on a $250 entry fee and will payout 100%. With kickoff tentatively scheduled for February 24 at Bull Shoals Lake in Arkansas, anglers will have the opportunity to fish for cash opposed to product – a major difference compared to other trails in the area. “We would always rather fish for cash,” said pro angler Butch Still, “product is harder to liquidate, has tax implications, and many times conflicts with my sponsors. I can’t tell you how excited I am to have a high stakes team event close to home.”

An off-limits period spanning the Monday thru Thursday prior to each event allows working anglers competitive equality and the Saturday, one-day, event will give competitors plenty of time to arrive home before the following week.

As an additional incentive, each angler that participates in one of the tournaments will receive one chance per event towards a drawing for a fully-rigged Ranger 188VS equipped with a 150 horsepower Mercury Optimax. The drawing will take place at the final event, tentatively scheduled for June 23 at Truman Lake in Missouri.
